Spring is here, but Bike City stayed busy all winter!
For the holidays, we gave Peace at Home Family Shelter 16 carefully crafted kids' bikes. Check out the gallery!
In January, we replaced the floor in Community Tools, built a new workbench, bought a lot of new tools, and improved the lighting. Whew. See the whole before-and-after process on Flickr. If you haven't stopped by yet this year, come take a peek!
We've started a bike rental program! For $5/day or $30/week, you can borrow a bike from our rapidly expanding fleet.
This year we'll be launching Women's Open Shop! We're still looking for volunteers to provide childcare for this once-a-month event, and donations of toys and snacks so that Mom can relax and focus on her bike. Watch for it in July.
We now accept donations through PayPal and Google Checkout. We love when you come to see us, but now you may make your tax-deductible donation by credit card from the comfort of your own home.
And let's not forget . . . the new website, from our resident HTML retro-grouch. We've added oodles of updated content and streamlined the Adopt-a-Bike system. You can now sign up to volunteer online!
Last but not least, we've started an Annual Newsletter.
